The Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities and the Korea Employment Information Service are joining forces to transform AI-powered employment services for people with disabilities.

The two organizations signed a memorandum of understanding Monday at the agency's headquarters in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, committing to build a next-generation AI employment service cooperation framework. The agreement aims to upgrade job placement services for people with disabilities using AI technology and establish a digitally integrated employment service network.

Under the MOU, the two agencies plan to cooperate on strengthening AI-based digital employment services for people with disabilities, exchanging data and information to improve job placement support, and jointly pursuing projects to enhance the accessibility of digital job support services. Through these efforts, the agencies said they intend to expand hiring opportunities for people with disabilities and bolster employment stability.

Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities President Lee Jong-seong said he was honored to work with the Korea Employment Information Service, which leads digital innovation in the employment services sector, to advance job support for people with disabilities. "We will work closely together to raise the quality of disability employment services and make them easier to use," he said.

Korea Employment Information Service President Lee Chang-su said the agreement would combine the agency's specialized data on disability employment support with his organization's AI analysis and matching technology. "We will actively push forward with AI-driven innovation in employment services for people with disabilities," he said.
