Broadcaster Kim Sook has unveiled her self-decorated home on Jeju Island.
A video titled "First reveal of the Jeju Ssuk House — self-interior design with a cozy vibe" was posted Thursday on Kim Sook's YouTube channel "Kim Sook TV."
In the video, Kim Sook visited an IKEA store, saying her Jeju Island home was "almost finished" but still needed some finishing touches. She browsed lighting fixtures and rugs before appearing in the next scene at Jeju Airport, hauling a large load of purchases.
She then enlisted fellow entertainer Ra Mi-ran to help assemble the furniture.
After wrapping up the work, Kim Sook expressed satisfaction, saying, "It's so pretty. The atmosphere has really come alive."
She then turned to a staff member and wondered aloud, "How much should I charge Ra Mi-ran for her month-long stay?" When Ra Mi-ran walked over, Kim Sook quipped, "The room is ready. If you're staying a month, that'll be 2 million won ($1,310) in wolse."
Kim Sook recently documented the renovation of her 230-pyeong (759-square-meter) Jeju Island house — which had sat abandoned for a decade — on the tvN variety program "Unpredictable."
Last month, she wrote on social media: "To the production directors and writers of 'Unpredictable' — thank you so much for all your hard work. Running a program for a full year is nearly impossible in today's broadcasting landscape, but you shared every moment with joy and I'm so grateful. And thank you to everyone who helped build this home."
