Over 180 riders nationwide take part in safety training and circuit sessions

Michelin Korea announced Monday that its 2026 Michelin Track Day, held at Taebaek Speedway circuit in Gangwon Province, concluded successfully.

The two-day event, held May 30 and 31, drew more than 180 Michelin motorcycle tire users from across the country, selected through advance registration. Participants experienced the thrill of motorcycle riding and the performance of Michelin tires firsthand through professional safety training and live circuit sessions.

Michelin Korea has hosted the Michelin Track Day annually to give riders of all skill levels — from beginners to veterans — a safe introduction to circuit riding culture. The event has established itself as a flagship gathering for Michelin motorcycle tire users in South Korea, drawing consistent enthusiasm each year.

The first day centered on circuit riding. After completing a safety briefing led by professional instructors, participants were divided into five groups by skill level and took part in two riding sessions each. On the circuit, riders experienced the grip and handling performance of Michelin motorcycle tires in real track conditions, including high-speed cornering and braking.

The second day featured a wider range of interactive programming alongside a Michelin motorcycle tire exhibition, including a quiz event focused on tire maintenance and riding safety. Participants mingled freely and continued building their riding experience through additional circuit sessions.

"The circuit is a space where riders can experience the joy of riding and push their own limits, so we designed the event to let as many riders as possible enjoy circuit culture safely," said Jeong Yeong-geun, Michelin Korea's motorcycle sales and marketing manager. "We will keep engaging with riders in Korea and contribute to spreading a safe and enjoyable riding culture."
