Hankook & Company Group announced Monday that it held a "Driving Day" for employees on May 31 at Korea Technoring, Asia's largest tire test track, located in Taean-gun, South Chungcheong Province.

Driving Day is an employee engagement program that Hankook & Company Group has run at Korea Technoring since 2024.

Employees who signed up in advance took part in the first Driving Day of this year, experiencing circuit driving through a high-performance vehicle program operated at the HMG Driving Experience Center inside Korea Technoring.

The HMG Driving Experience Center is a Hyundai Motor Group driving facility built within Korea Technoring, featuring eight driving experience courses and a customer-exclusive facility spanning 10,223 square meters.

Korea Technoring serves as a technology infrastructure hub for electric vehicle and high-performance vehicle development and driving performance verification, and has established itself as a key base supporting the group's future mobility technology competitiveness. Chairman Cho Hyun-bum was personally involved in the facility from planning and design through to operations and branding.

Following the first Driving Day, Hankook & Company Group plans to run a second program in the second half of the year, with a broader lineup of activities to expand participation opportunities for employees.

"Every session has drawn positive responses from employees, who get to experience circuit driving and feel firsthand what the group's technology infrastructure can do," a Hankook & Company Group official said. "We plan to continue expanding participation-based programs that make use of the group's infrastructure."

Meanwhile, Hankook & Company Group's affiliates span a range of sectors — including tires, batteries, thermal management, IT and components — among them Hankook & Company, Hankook Tire & Technology and Hanon Systems.
