Over 600 attendees from 200 companies and institutions at home and abroad; ADNOC, ExxonMobil, Petronas and Boeing among participants; traditional and future energy, supply chains on the agenda

More than 600 people representing roughly 200 domestic and international energy companies and institutions gathered Monday for the Samsung E&A Tech Forum, held at the Global Engineering Center in Sangil-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul, the company said.

The forum, first held in 2024, took place for the third time this year, drawing global energy players including ADNOC, ExxonMobil, Petronas and Boeing.

The annual event brings together hundreds of energy industry leaders to share insights and explore new business opportunities and partnerships.

This year's forum ran under the theme "Energy Realism: Continuity, Diversity, Velocity," seeking practical alternatives for the energy industry amid global supply chain uncertainty and geopolitical tensions.

The program opened with remarks by Samsung E&A President and CEO Namgung Hong, followed by keynote addresses, panel discussions and seminars. In the "Continuity" session, Petronas emphasized balancing traditional and future energy sources, while ExxonMobil, Worley, Honeywell and Macquarie joined a panel discussion on the growing importance of supply chains in the modern energy industry.

The "Diversity" session featured Boeing presenting its sustainability strategy for the aviation industry, while Samsung E&A introduced CompassH2-A+, a water electrolysis technology solution co-developed with Nel.

In the "Velocity" session, AI company Palantir joined Saudi Aramco, Honeywell and others to discuss ways to boost productivity through AI.

A separate exhibition area hosted seminars alongside booths from global energy companies including Air Liquide, Carbon Clean and Svante, as well as Samsung E&A. Highlights included an LNG technology seminar and presentations on Samsung E&A's innovations in new energy, AI, robotics, and safety and quality.

"Through the forum, we were able to share productive and innovative insights across all sectors of the energy industry," Namgung said. "We hope the Tech Forum will continue to grow into an integrated platform that leads the global energy industry."
