Money pen metallic edition comes in silver and rose gold; tray born from public idea contest also available on KakaoTalk Gift
Korea Minting and Security Printing Corp. launched two new products Monday — a money pen metallic edition and a money tray — both made from currency byproducts. Targeting year-end and New Year gift demand, the company is selling both items through its online shopping mall and KakaoTalk Gift.
The money pen is the flagship product of Money Made, the corporation's currency goods brand. The pen incorporates currency byproducts and has been offered in several versions, including modern, clear, mini ball and a gold edition. The new metallic edition follows the gold edition as a special release, featuring a slimmer body with a metallic finish. It comes in two colors: silver and rose gold.
The money tray was developed from a public submission to Money Lab, the corporation's open-idea platform. It combines currency byproducts with a recycled material called paper marble and is available in white, yellow and green. The tray can serve as a cup coaster, a small candle holder or an accessory dish.
Korea Minting President Seong Chang-hun said the company would "continue to add new value to currency byproducts and introduce a variety of currency goods that customers can enjoy in their daily lives or give as gifts to the people they care about."
