Kim Da-ye, wife of broadcaster Park Su-hong, has spoken out about the backlash she faced after posting a photo of her daughter in a luxury puffer jacket.

On Sunday, Kim wrote on her social media account that Instagram Stories disappear after 24 hours, pushing back against reports that she had hastily deleted the photo. "Sensational and malicious articles are pouring out, claiming I showed off a baby puffer jacket I never mentioned — and never even thought of mentioning — alongside false information," she wrote.

She added, "I am worn out, and I am truly sad."

Earlier, on Thursday, Kim had shared a photo on her Instagram Story of her daughter Jae-i wearing a pink puffer jacket. The post drew attention after the jacket was identified as a luxury brand product priced at around 1.4 million won ($1,040).

The controversy was not the first of its kind. In June, Kim had also shared a photo of her daughter wearing shoes worth up to 8 million won. She had also publicly disclosed that her daughter files a comprehensive income tax return through advertising work, describing her as "a patriot paying taxes since age one."

Some online users criticized the posts as showing off wealth, while others argued that sharing a child's daily life is a matter of personal freedom.

In response to Kim's post, many users offered words of comfort, writing things such as "What's wrong with showing off your cute baby?", "I'm a mom with a child the same age and I feel upset on your behalf," and "You must be so worn out."

Meanwhile, Park and Kim registered their marriage in 2021 and held a wedding ceremony the following year. Their daughter Jae-i was born in October 2024.
