Cheongdo-eup in Cheongdo-gun, North Gyeongsang Province, held the "2026 Cheongdo-eup Pungnyuu Music Concert" on Thursday along the banks of Cheongdocheon Stream, drawing about 900 residents and guests.

Themed "Autumn Night Sentiments," the concert was organized by the Cheongdo-eup Community Social Security Council and supported by a range of local groups, including the Village Chiefs Council, the Residents' Autonomy Committee, the Sports Association, three saemaul organizations, the Lifestyle Improvement Society and the Homemakers' Association for Hometown Appreciation.

The event opened with a pre-show performance, followed by an opening ceremony and sets by invited singers that drew an enthusiastic response from the crowd. Local organizations also prepared generous food offerings — including leek pancakes, fish cake and kimchi tofu — to share with attendees.

The event also featured warm acts of giving: Kim Yeong-ung and Moon Sang-ho, co-representatives of Cheongdo Professional Funeral Home, donated 3 million won ($2,240) to a child welfare fund; Lee Seung-woo, representative of Daero Construction, contributed 1 million won to the same fund; and Jo In-je, representative of Bogyeong Industry, donated 2 million won to an elderly welfare fund.

Kim Yeong-ung, the civilian committee chair, said the Cheongdo-eup Community Social Security Council would do its utmost to work closely with local residents and realize the values of care and solidarity.

Cheongdo-gun Governor Park Gwon-hyeon said the county would continue to organize cultural events where all residents can participate and enjoy themselves, working toward a warmer and more vibrant Cheongdo-gun.
