Gyeongsan in North Gyeongsang Province will dispatch an overseas trade delegation to Shanghai, China, and New Delhi, India, from Sunday through Nov. 14, the city announced Friday.
Ten local companies — spanning robotics, machinery, K-food and consumer goods — will join the delegation to attend export consultation sessions and explore opportunities to enter overseas markets.
At the sessions, participating firms will hold pre-arranged one-on-one meetings with matched buyers and present their flagship products.
The delegation will also take part in an industrial exchange program to observe the advanced industry ecosystems in each country firsthand.
Planned visits include China's Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, Huawei's research and development center and the Indian Institute of Technology, where delegates will survey the latest overseas industry trends.
Gyeongsan Mayor Jo Hyeon-il said he hopes the mission will not only introduce the region's quality products to the Chinese and Indian markets but also uncover new opportunities for exchange in robotics and advanced industries, ultimately driving tangible export results and strengthening the competitiveness of the local industrial base.
