Temu said Thursday that 91 percent of respondents in a survey of more than 100 domestic sellers conducted in August reported experiencing business improvements after joining the platform.

The most frequently cited changes were increased sales and revenue, mentioned by 58 percent of respondents, and the acquisition of new customers, cited by 47 percent. Improvements in inventory management, cash flow and operating costs also ranked among the top responses.

Some 85 percent of respondents were small and midsize businesses with fewer than 50 employees, and 94 percent were already selling products on other platforms before joining Temu.

Some 66 percent of respondents had been on the platform for six months or less. Of those, 82 percent said they viewed Temu as either a key channel supplementing their existing sales network or a driver of revenue growth.

Some 60 percent of respondents said direct support from a dedicated Temu account manager was the most satisfying aspect of the platform, and 73 percent described Temu as a trustworthy business partner.

Temu entered the South Korean market in July 2023 and introduced its Local Seller Program in May last year, allowing domestic sellers of any size to reach consumers nationwide. The program is designed to help sellers connect with new customers even without strong brand recognition.

"We want to help local sellers grow through the Local Seller Program," a Temu official said. "The feedback sellers shared in this survey will help us improve the support we provide."
