BC Card members can purchase an adult all-day pass to Seoul Land for 21,900 won ($16) — more than 30,000 won below the regular price — through the end of this month. All-day passes to Lotte World are also available at half price.
BC Card announced Thursday that it will run discount promotions at major theme parks, including Seoul Land, Lotte World and Everland, through Nov. 30. The discounts apply to personal credit and debit cards issued by BC Card member institutions: Woori Card, Hana Card, NH NongHyup Card, Industrial Bank of Korea, KB Kookmin Card, iM Bank, Busan Bank, Kyongnam Bank, Shinhan Card, Sh Suhyup Bank, Gwangju Bank and BC Baro Card.
Seoul Land offers the steepest discount. The adult all-day pass, normally priced at 52,000 won, is available for 21,900 won — a 58% reduction. A night pass, valid from 4 p.m., costs 19,900 won. The discount covers the cardholder and one companion, with a maximum of two tickets per day regardless of card spending history.
At Lotte World, cardholders who pay via QR code at an on-site staffed ticket booth using BC Card's mobile payment app Paybooc can buy an all-day pass for 33,500 won — half the regular price of 67,000 won. The same discount applies to one accompanying adult. Lotte World Aquarium and Seoul Sky also offer discounts of 45% and 35%, respectively. The deal requires an in-person QR payment through Paybooc at a staffed booth; online reservations and other mobile payment methods do not qualify.
Everland is discounting its afternoon pass — valid for entry from 3 p.m. — by up to 51%, selling the ticket for 32,000 won against a regular price of 65,000 won. Up to four people, including the cardholder, can receive the discount. Passes can be purchased at on-site ticket booths or through Everland's smart reservation system.
Discounts are also available for international travelers. Yellow Balloon Tour is offering 15% off international airfare and up to 120,000 won in instant discounts on package tours. The airfare discount runs through Dec. 31, while the package tour promotion ends Nov. 30.
On the travel platform My Real Trip, BC Card holders who spend 200,000 won or more on travel products receive an instant discount ranging from 7,000 won to a maximum of 60,000 won depending on the amount spent. Purchases of 2 million won or more qualify for the maximum 60,000 won discount.
"We have put together a range of discount benefits so customers can create happy memories this autumn outing season while easing the financial burden," said Kim Ho-jeong, executive director at BC Card. "We will continue to expand promotions that provide real, everyday value for BC Card customers."
