Signing ceremony held at Jamsil Baseball Stadium with over 60 legend players
Renault branding on uniforms, helmets; outfield 'Renault Zone' to be set up
Renault Korea announced Thursday it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ilgu Association — a nonprofit organization of former professional baseball players and coaches — and will serve as the title partner of "Jamsil The Last Inning by Renault," scheduled for Nov. 14.
The signing ceremony took place Wednesday at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul, with Renault Korea President Nicolas Paris, Vice President Jo Won-sang, Ilgu Association Chairman Kim Gwang-su and Secretary General Gu Gyeong-baek in attendance. The two sides said they will use the partnership to commemorate the history and memories of Jamsil Baseball Stadium — which is set for major changes — alongside baseball fans, while expanding touchpoints between the brand and customers through sports.
Renault Korea said the partnership reflects its commitment to sharing the brand's philosophy of being "a car that is part of everyday life" with consumers. The automaker operated a "Renault Zone" in the left-field outfield area at Sajik Baseball Stadium in Busan this year and provided its midsize family SUV, the Grand Koleos, as a bullpen car at Jamsil Baseball Stadium. The company also served as the official title sponsor of the Renault Busan Open Tennis Tournament 2026.
On the day of the event, Renault Korea will display its branding on the uniforms and helmets of participating players and at key locations throughout the stadium. Some outfield seats will be designated as the "Renault Zone." A booth will be set up in front of Gate 5 at the stadium plaza to exhibit the Filante Noir Edition and the Grand Koleos, among other models.
Paris will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the game. He is also scheduled to attend the MVP awards ceremony after the match and personally present a trophy shaped like Renault's diamond emblem.
"Renault Korea aims to be more than an automaker — we want to be a brand that creates meaningful experiences in the lives of our customers," Paris said. "Starting with this partnership, we will share in the passion for baseball that Korean customers love and build a more genuine relationship with them."
"Jamsil The Last Inning by Renault" will be held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 14 at Jamsil Baseball Stadium. The legend match, hosted and organized by the Ilgu Association, will feature more than 60 retired players from the Ilgu Association and the Korea Professional Baseball Retired Players Association. In addition to the main game, the event will include fan autograph sessions, on-field experiences and a last-ceremony celebration by the players.
