60 healthcare officials from 21 countries visit to learn about AI-driven smart hospital operations
"We will expand our global medical cooperation network through continued exchange with healthcare institutions worldwide"
Incheon Sejong Hospital announced Tuesday that it hosted a hospital tour program for overseas healthcare officials on Oct. 19 and Oct. 22, in conjunction with the 49th International Hospital Federation World Hospital Congress held at COEX Magok Convention Center in Seoul.
The congress drew about 2,000 healthcare professionals from around the world to discuss innovations in medical services and the future direction of hospital management. Among them, 60 hospital directors, medical staff and healthcare officials from 21 countries visited Incheon Sejong Hospital to tour its key medical infrastructure and advanced healthcare systems.
The visiting delegation received briefings on the hospital's AI and digital transformation initiatives and its smart hospital operating strategy, and examined a range of cutting-edge technologies in clinical use. These included an AI-based imaging analysis support system applied to chest X-rays and CT scans, as well as other AI tools designed to help medical staff make faster and more accurate clinical decisions.
During the on-site tour, delegates observed the hospital's digital patient management systems firsthand — including real-time nursing support and clinical information retrieval via mobile PDA devices. The tour also highlighted the hospital's Rapid Response Team, covering its operational structure and multidisciplinary collaboration processes for responding swiftly to patient deterioration, with an emphasis on proactive patient management through AI-based risk prediction and condition monitoring.
The hospital also showcased a range of AI-powered technologies used across its operations, including AiTiALVSD. The delegation showed particular interest in demonstrations of how AiTiALVSD detects left ventricular systolic dysfunction at an early stage and how the technology is applied in clinical settings.
"It was a meaningful occasion to introduce our AI and digital transformation efforts directly to healthcare professionals from around the world and to share our hands-on experience applying these technologies in clinical practice," said Oh Byung-hee, director of Incheon Sejong Hospital. "We will continue working to innovate medical services and improve patient safety, while expanding our global medical cooperation network through sustained exchange with healthcare institutions at home and abroad."
