Eland Eats to renovate Suji and Jamsil locations before year's end
Ashley Queens' NC Songpa store has drawn more than 120,000 visitors in the three months since its renovation reopening, operator Eland Eats said.
The store sits on the seventh floor of the NC department store's Young Wing at Garden Five Life in Munjeong-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul. It is the first Ashley Queens location to undergo what the company calls a "grand renewal" — a format that expands both the dining space and the salad bar menu at high-demand stores.
The store's floor area grew from roughly 660 square meters to about 1,122 square meters, with an improved customer flow layout and more efficient seating. From the July 16 reopening through Oct. 15, more than 120,000 customers visited, an average of over 40,000 per month.
The salad bar menu expanded by up to 30 percent compared with the previous format. New additions include an open sandwich zone serving brunch items and a dessert zone offering acai bowls and soft-serve ice cream. A sushi menu exclusive to the renovated location was also introduced. The live noodle zone and open sandwich zone, which drew strong customer satisfaction, are now being rolled out to standard stores.
Meanwhile, Ashley Queens plans to reopen its Lotte Mall Suji and Jamsil Lotte Castle locations under the same grand renewal format before the end of the year.
