Up to 200g per month can be gifted through Hana OneQ
Hana Bank said Monday it will launch a gold bar purchase and gifting service through its mobile banking app Hana OneQ, allowing customers to buy or send physical gold bars without visiting a branch.
The service expands a process that previously required an in-person branch visit, aimed at improving convenience and broadening access to physical gold purchases.
The gifting feature lets customers buy a 3.75-gram gold bar on Hana OneQ and send it to themselves or others. Users register a Hana Bank branch on the app to collect the physical bar, then pick it up in person. The gifting service is capped at 50 grams per day and 200 grams per month.
The standard purchase service works similarly — customers apply through Hana OneQ, designate a branch for pickup, and collect the gold bar at a time of their choosing. Purchases of up to 1 kilogram are available.
"We will continue to actively reflect our customers' diverse financial needs and the evolving digital environment, and keep expanding Hana Bank's differentiated services," a bank official said.
Meanwhile, Hana Bank also resumed non-face-to-face mortgage lending Monday, including its Apartment Loan 2 product.
