Hyundai Motor and Kia announced Sunday that they will offer special purchase benefits and customer events for major vehicle models through Dec. 31 as part of K-Sale Festa, one of South Korea's largest shopping festivals.

Hyundai Motor will provide special discount benefits on three popular models — the Avante, Grandeur and Santa Fe. Through its "Special Offer" program, the company will also extend special purchase benefits on the Genesis G80 and GV70.

The Avante gasoline model will receive a base discount of 1 million won ($749), with select trim-level options also provided free of charge. The Modern gasoline trim will come standard with a 9.9-inch slim display and Convenience Package I, while the Modern hybrid will include a 9.9-inch slim display and Convenience Package II. The Premium trim will receive the Platinum I package, and the Inspiration trim will receive Platinum II.

For the Grandeur, the Premium trim will be equipped with Hyundai SmartSense I at no extra cost and the Exclusive trim with Hyundai SmartSense II, while the Calligraphy trim will receive an additional 1 million won discount. Hybrid models may also receive up to an additional 1 million won in benefits depending on the month of production.

The Santa Fe will also carry a base discount of 1 million won, with up to an additional 1 million won available depending on the month of production.

A zero-interest financing promotion will be available to ease the financial burden on Santa Fe and Palisade buyers. Individual customers and sole proprietors who take delivery of a Santa Fe or Palisade by Nov. 30 will be eligible for 36-, 48- or 60-month standard mobility installment plans at zero interest.

Compared with the previous annual rate of 5.6 percent on a 60-month installment plan, the interest savings are estimated at about 5.4 million won for the Santa Fe, about 5.8 million won for the Santa Fe hybrid, about 6.7 million won for the Palisade, and about 7.4 million won for the Palisade hybrid.

Special purchase benefits are also available for the Genesis G80 and GV70. Both models — excluding electrified variants — will receive a base benefit of 2 million won ($1,498), with additional price benefits of up to 5 percent for the G80 and up to 3 percent for the GV70 depending on the month of production.

Hyundai Motor has also prepared a "Blue Member SSG" promotion tied to Shinsegae Group's large-scale shopping event, SSG Day. Customers who access "Blue Members Car Friend" through Shinsegae affiliate channels or the SSG Day hub page through Nov. 8 can download a Blue Member SSG coupon.

Applying the coupon at a Hyundai Motor branch or dealership during consultation or contract signing adds an extra 100,000 won discount on eligible models. The coupon is valid through Nov. 30.

Kia is also joining the festival. Customers who take delivery of a new vehicle in November can receive up to 11 percent off on 16 models — up to 10,000 units in total — through its "Giteukhan Festa" campaign.

Discounts by model are as follows: the Sorento and Tasman at 11 percent; the K9, EV6 and Bongo EV at 10 percent; the Bongo LPG at 9 percent; the Carnival, K5, K8, EV3, EV4 and EV9 at 8 percent; the EV5 and PV5 at 7 percent; the Niro at 6 percent; and the Sportage at 5 percent.

A separate special promotion running throughout November will offer up to 1 million won in purchase benefits on approximately 1,000 display vehicles across all model lines. Customers who combine the K-Sale Festa special discount with the display vehicle promotion could receive total savings of about 5.5 million won on the Sorento.

This year, Kia's certified pre-owned vehicle program is joining K-Sale Festa for the first time, allowing customers considering used vehicle purchases to benefit from vehicle discounts and purchase support.

Throughout November, customers who contract a vehicle carrying the K-Sale Festa keyword on Kia's certified pre-owned online platform and finalize their purchase by Dec. 15 will be eligible for vehicle price discounts and additional benefits.

Specifically, the K series — including the K3, K5, K8 and K9 — along with the Sorento, Mohave and Carnival will receive discounts of 3 to 4 percent, while the EV3, EV4, EV5, EV6 and EV9 will receive 2 percent off. Customers who purchase a K-Sale Festa-designated electric vehicle from the certified pre-owned lineup will receive a 200,000 won EV charging voucher, while buyers of other models will receive a 200,000 won digital Onnuri gift certificate.
