Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance announced Friday the launch of Hi-Helper, an AI-powered insurance planning support system that rapidly proposes insurance plans tailored to each customer's eligibility conditions.

As insurance products and coverage structures grow increasingly complex, the ability of agents to assess individual customer circumstances and recommend suitable plans has become more critical. Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance developed Hi-Helper in line with this shift, aiming to improve agent efficiency and raise the quality of customer consultation services to help clients make well-informed decisions.

Hi-Helper first screens eligible products based on a customer's individual profile, then combines that with an "AI disclosure review" function that assesses insurability in advance. This allows agents to quickly identify the most suitable products for each customer and conduct consultations more efficiently.

Particularly notable is Hi-Helper's ability to reflect the latest planning trends and automatically generate three recommended plans with a single click in under a minute. Agents can then adjust coverage details and eligibility conditions during consultations, while customers can compare multiple coverage options and select the plan that best fits their needs. The system is also expected to reduce the burden of repetitive planning tasks, allowing agents to focus more on consultations and improving overall sales efficiency.

"Through Hi-Helper, we expect to propose plans tailored to each individual customer more quickly and precisely, and to provide customized consultation services that better meet customer needs based on a variety of recommended plans," a company official said. "We plan to continue advancing the system — including through generative AI technology — to enhance customer benefits while gradually building a digital environment that supports agents across all aspects of their sales activities," the official added.

Meanwhile, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance has been pushing broader AI-driven innovation in the insurance industry. In August, the company introduced an AI automated underwriting system called 2Q-PASS that shortened the contract process, with more than 40 percent of eligible contracts now concluded automatically.
