Daegu Health College's Teaching and Learning Support Center held the third DHC Outstanding Student Club special lecture at Room 1318 of Yeongsong Hall on Wednesday, drawing about 30 students from the second and third cohorts of the club.

The DHC Outstanding Student Club is a talent-development program that selects students ranking in the top 20 percent of their departments and helps them build major-specific competencies, job-readiness skills and self-directed learning abilities.

The lecture was organized as part of a junior college innovation support project to help students identify and articulate their experiences and strengths in job-relevant terms, and to teach them how to use generative AI responsibly in writing personal statements.

Earlier sessions in the series covered AI-based portfolio building and content creation; this installment shifted focus to strengthening the self-expression skills needed for job applications.

Kwak Hye-jeong, chief executive of Pave, led the session under the theme "My personal statement strategy using generative AI."

Students practiced identifying job-relevant competencies from their own experiences, structuring that material to fit personal statement prompts, drafting an initial version with generative AI, and then refining the text in their own words.
