'Our Store Report' beta launch offers free sales and commercial district analysis
Hourly sales and delivery trends, customer demographics and more
Naver Pay has launched a service that lets small business owners compare their store's payment performance against the top 10 percent of shops in their neighborhood. The tool covers sales trends, customer demographics and shifts in the surrounding commercial district, giving merchants data to inform operations and marketing strategy.
Naver Pay said Thursday it released a beta version of "Npay biz Our Store Report" for merchants. The service is free for food and beverage business owners who have installed the offline integrated payment terminal "Npay Connect" and use Naver's "Place Plus."
The core feature benchmarks a store against similar businesses in the same commercial district. Merchants can see how their weekday and weekend transaction counts and average transaction values stack up against the neighborhood average and the top 10 percent of stores. Hourly and day-of-week sales trends, along with the age and gender breakdown of key customer groups, are also provided to help owners identify strengths and weaknesses and plan their business strategy.
Real-time sales figures are available in one-hour increments. Merchants can compare Connect terminal-based sales metrics against the previous week's figures or daily averages, and track trends at the neighborhood, city and county, and national levels — helping them gauge whether a drop in sales reflects a problem specific to their store or a broader shift in the local commercial district. Neighborhood delivery order trends are likewise updated hourly, and merchants can monitor changes in the number of competing stores in the same category.
Naver Pay formally launched Connect in November last year and surpassed 100,000 enrolled merchants nationwide in June this year, seven months later. At that time, restaurants accounted for the largest share of installations at 43.5 percent.
The service is accessible by searching "Our Store Report" on Naver or visiting the Npay biz website. Naver Pay plans to add features during the beta period, including analysis of customer interest and store competitiveness. The Npay biz merchant support platform has accumulated 2.2 million registered business members since its launch in 2024.
"We launched this service so that small business owners using Npay Connect can check, from a variety of data-driven perspectives, how business is going in their neighborhood on any given day," a Naver Pay official said. "We will gather feedback from store owners during the beta period and continue adding information that is genuinely useful for running a store."
