Tria, a self-custody crypto neobank, announced Thursday that it unveiled its XRP Ledger-based neobank strategy and 2027 business roadmap at Ripple's annual conference, Swell 2026.

The core of Tria's 2027 roadmap is enabling users to put their XRP to work for payments, loans and yield generation without selling it. The company also set a target of expanding circulation of Ripple's dollar stablecoin RLUSD to $1 billion by the end of next year.

Tria has supported the XRP Ledger since Sept. 30. Users can deposit XRP and RLUSD to top up their Visa card balance or use the funds as margin for futures trading. Conversions between XRP and RLUSD carry no Tria fee, and card payments earn up to 6 percent cashback.

According to Tria, card payment volume over the past 12 months has reached $170 million during the current private beta phase. Futures trading volume over the past five months has exceeded $2 billion, and more than 50,000 users have completed know-your-customer verification.

Tria plans to launch an XRP-collateralized loan service in the first quarter of next year. Under the model, users pledge XRP as collateral instead of selling it and borrow RLUSD for card payments and other purposes. Users retain full control of their wallets throughout the process.

Also in the second quarter of next year, Tria plans to introduce RLUSD for partner settlement, replacing the USDC and USDT currently used. The company is also preparing an "Earn Vault" service that lets users apply yield generated from deposited assets toward card payments.

Underpinning these plans is Tria's proprietary cross-chain infrastructure, BestPath. The system allows assets held on different blockchains to be converted into XRP or RLUSD on the XRP Ledger with a single signature.

On Saturday, Tria demonstrated a live conversion of Solana-based BONK tokens to RLUSD on mainnet in eight seconds. Cumulative transaction volume processed through BestPath within the Tria app has exceeded $350 million.

Tria is also expanding its white-label business, which lets partners offer Tria's wallet, card, token exchange, futures trading and BestPath features under their own brand. The company said it has signed agreements with its first partners in music, entertainment and finance, with the full list to be disclosed at the time of each service launch.

John Rilic, co-founder and chief strategy officer of Tria, said many XRP holders want to use their assets in daily life without selling them. "We will build an environment on the XRP Ledger where users can hold XRP as-is while putting it to immediate use as collateral, for payments and for yield," Rilic said.

Meanwhile, Tria's crypto card membership plans are divided into Light, Pro and Max tiers. The Light plan carries an annual fee of $20 and can be used as a virtual card registered on a mobile phone, with no physical card required.
