Nowon-gu District Mayor Seo Jun-o signed a memorandum of understanding Thursday afternoon at his office to strengthen integrated community care services, joined by representatives of partner organizations.

The MOU, titled "Public-Private-Academic Partnership for Integrated Care Promotion," brought together three institutions: Nowon-gu, the Anchor Project Group of Kwangwoon University, and the Hamkkegeoreum Medical Welfare Social Cooperative. The agreement aims to build a resident-led integrated care network and expand the district's community care capacity.

Key commitments under the MOU include developing and operating education programs to strengthen resident-led care capacity, identifying and connecting program participants and care recipients while supporting field activities, and jointly pursuing cooperative projects to link community care resources and promote preventive integrated care.

Seo signed the agreement alongside the partner organization representatives, shared progress made in public-private-academic cooperation to date, and discussed plans for future collaboration.

"I hope this agreement will serve as an opportunity to bring together the strengths of a local university and a specialized medical welfare institution to reinforce a preventive integrated care system," Seo said. "We will continue to work closely across organizations to build a care environment that residents can truly feel."
