Pocheon named singer Kim Da-hyun as its tourism ambassador at City Hall on Thursday.

Kim rose to public prominence as the runner-up on MBN's "Voice Trot" in 2020, finished third on TV Chosun's "Tomorrow Is Miss Trot 2" in 2021, and won MBN's "Korea-Japan King of Songs" competition in 2024.

Kim filmed a dance challenge video to her latest single "Good Shot," released in June, alongside Pocheon's official mascot "Pouri," marking her first activity as ambassador. The video is set to be released on Pocheon's official social media channels.

The city plans to leverage Kim's bright, approachable image and broad public recognition to promote Pocheon's tourism sites, local festivals and agricultural products to audiences across the country.

"We are delighted to welcome Kim Da-hyun, who has won so much affection with her outstanding vocal talent and bright energy, as our ambassador," said Jeong Yeong-ok, the city's public relations officer. "Going forward, we will work with our ambassador to develop a wide range of promotional content that citizens can relate to and enjoy, and to spread the word about Pocheon's many charms."
