Singer and actor Suzy, 32, has signed a pre-sale contract for a unit at Labre27, an ultra-luxury residential development under construction in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
Suzy recently signed the contract, though the specific unit type and pre-sale price have not been confirmed.
Pre-sale prices at Labre27 start at 14 billion won ($10.6 million) and reach as high as the 40 billion won range, making it one of the most expensive residential properties in Gangnam.
The development is being built at 90-20 Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, comprising two buildings with five below-ground floors and seven above-ground floors and a total of 27 units. Korea Asset Development and Sigonggan Networks are the developers, while Hyundai Engineering & Construction is the contractor. Move-in is scheduled for the second half of this year.
The complex is notable for incorporating neuroarchitecture — a field that applies neuroscience to building design — with physicist Jeong Jae-seung involved from the design stage. The development emphasizes residents' privacy and independent living environments.
Labre27 drew attention earlier after actor Shin Se-kyung was reported to have signed a pre-sale contract there. Actor Jang Keun-suk, Blackpink's Jisoo and broadcaster Seo Jang-hoon are also said to have signed contracts at the complex.
Suzy purchased a 277-square-meter unit at Nonhyeon Apfelbaum, a luxury villa in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, for 3.09 billion won in 2017. The property is now estimated to be worth close to 6 billion won.
Suzy debuted in 2010 as a member of the girl group Miss A and rose to wide fame after starring in the 2012 film "Architecture 101," earning the nickname "the nation's first love." She has since pursued parallel careers as a singer and actor. She is set to appear in the Disney+ original series "Portraits of Delusion" and has a film — a romantic comedy co-starring Lee Jin-wook — scheduled to open in December.
