SGC Energy disclosed Thursday that its third-quarter consolidated operating profit rose 56.8 percent year-on-year to 39.9 billion won ($30.1 million).

Revenue for the same period fell 3.9 percent to 575.6 billion won, according to preliminary figures.

Net profit for the period came to 8.2 billion won, swinging to a profit from a loss a year earlier.
