BMW Korea brings motor-show-level display to tournament gallery plaza
'The New BMW 7 Series' also on show for first time in Korea
"A rich array of attractions for gallery visitors"
BMW Korea announced Thursday that it will display a range of models from BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad — including the new X5 — at the BMW Ladies Championship 2026, which runs through Sunday at Pine Beach Golf Links in Haenam, South Jeolla Province.
The Gallery Plaza inside the tournament venue will host the Korean debut of two models set for domestic release before year's end: the New BMW 7 Series and the New BMW X5. The New BMW 7 Series is a mid-cycle refresh arriving four years after the current generation, with broad improvements to design, performance and convenience features.
Also on display will be the New BMW iX3, a fully electric sports activity vehicle (SAV) that BMW says ushers in a new era for the brand. The New BMW iX3 is the first mass-production model based on BMW's "Neue Klasse" future vision, marking a significant leap forward in technology, design, user experience, driving dynamics and electric powertrain.
The Gallery Plaza will be organized into themed zones. The BEV zone for fully electric models will showcase the i5 and iX, while the M zone will feature the high-performance M3, M5 Touring and the M-exclusive XM plug-in hybrid SAV. The luxury-class space representing BMW's top-tier lineup will display the M850i xDrive Gran Coupe and X7, alongside the all-electric MINI Countryman — MINI's first fully electric family car.
Key BMW Group models will also be stationed at various points along the course, set against the scenic coastal landscape, giving gallery visitors an added attraction beyond the competition itself.
The New BMW iX3 will be displayed at the 1st and 15th holes, the BMW Motorrad premium adventure motorcycle F 450 GS at the 3rd hole, and the all-electric MINI Countryman at the 8th hole — together showcasing the breadth of BMW Group's mobility lineup across cars and motorcycles. The New BMW 7 Series, making its Korean debut at the event, will be on display at the 13th and 18th holes.
Players who score the first hole-in-one at the 13th and 15th holes will each receive a prize vehicle — the New BMW i7 and the New BMW iX3, respectively.
Meanwhile, BMW Korea continues to expand its customer touchpoints through a range of marketing activities. At a recent runway show for Misjee Collection's 2027 S/S collection, in which BMW Korea participated as an official partner, the company provided 10 vehicles for VIP transport duties, including the flagship BMW X7 SAV.
