Company to supply 'Jetson full package' as physical AI sales gain momentum

MDS Tech will participate in a domestic company's humanoid home robot project, a move expected to mark the start of full-scale revenue from its physical AI business.

The company announced Tuesday it had signed a 4 billion won ($3 million) supply contract for a "Jetson full package" for a humanoid home robot project being developed by a company identified only as Company A.

The package consists of Nvidia Jetson modules along with systems and sensors from Nvidia's ecosystem partners.

The contract is the largest single-project order since MDS Tech launched its AI business division. The company said more than 13 years of accumulated expertise in Nvidia embedded AI edge platform technology had translated into tangible physical AI project revenue.

MDS Tech has supported the project since its development phase, providing advanced technical support for an AI computing platform based on Nvidia's Jetson Orin. The company also participated as the development environment was upgraded to the next-generation Nvidia Jetson Thor platform.

Since early this year, MDS Tech has set physical AI as a core growth pillar of its next-generation AI business and has been expanding its foundation in the field. In April, it launched an industry-academia partnership with Seoul National University to cultivate specialists in physical AI and robotics. Equipment supplied by the company is being used in Seoul National University's "Creative Engineering Design" course, and MDS Tech participates directly in instruction to support students' physical AI and robotics development projects.

"We are building business results in the physical AI sector based on Nvidia's high-performance AI computing platform and our accumulated embedded technology," an MDS Tech official said. "We plan to advance our physical AI capabilities by supporting customers from the development stage through technology verification, system optimization and mass production."
