As autumn deepens along the open banks of the Nakdong River, Busan's Nakdong River Management Headquarters announced Tuesday that it has planted large-scale autumn flower gardens at the Hwamyeong, Daejeo and Samnak ecological parks.

Each park along the riverbank has been designed with its own distinct character, offering visitors a variety of seasonal landscapes intended as spaces for rest and relaxation.

At Hwamyeong Ecological Park, a 34,000-square-meter yellow cosmos complex near the lotus wetlands creates a golden wave of blooms set against the Nakdong River. Nearby, an 8,800-square-meter burning bush complex planted around the aquatic garden frames windmill and swing photo spots with deep-red foliage for a picturesque, atmospheric scene.

At Daejeo Ecological Park, a 10,000-square-meter pink muhly grass complex draws visitors with its soft, dreamlike rosy hues, making it one of the season's most popular spots for memorable photos. At dusk, the rippling pink grass set against the evening glow offers visitors a scene they are unlikely to forget.

At Samnak Ecological Park, the 114,000-square-meter family theme flower garden features 4,060 plants across eight varieties, including chrysanthemums, creating a charming and colorful display.

The riot of autumn color lining the Nakdong riverbanks is expected to draw a steady stream of families, couples and friends alike. The flower fields stretching along the open riverside offer a retreat where visitors can step away from the city and feel the changing of the seasons up close. Visitors can also enjoy comparing the distinct autumn character of each park by making the rounds between Hwamyeong, Daejeo and Samnak.

The head of Busan's Nakdong River Management Headquarters encouraged visitors to make the ecological parks their destination for autumn outings. "If you are planning a day trip to enjoy the season to the fullest, we hope you will come create beautiful memories at the Nakdong River ecological parks, filled with seasonal flowers," the official said, adding a note of caution: "Parking lots can get congested on busy weekends, so we ask that visitors use public transportation."
