Event runs through wild-card round, playoffs and Korean Series
'Samsung Securities Pension Gapiphaetdak' package includes chicken giveaways
Samsung Securities announced Tuesday that it is extending its "Samsung Securities Pension Gapiphaetdak" ("I Signed Up for a Samsung Securities Pension") promotion — which drew strong crowds during the regular season — through the wild-card round, playoffs and Korean Series of the professional baseball postseason.
The promotion drew more than 2,000 attendees during the regular season, according to Samsung Securities.
The event was held at Jamsil Baseball Stadium during the final week of the regular season beginning Sept. 29, and has now expanded to venues in Jamsil, Daegu and Suwon for the fall postseason.
The expansion comes in line with record-breaking attendance in professional baseball this year. Cumulative attendance for the 2026 KBO League regular season surpassed 12.77 million, setting a new all-time single-season record, according to the Korea Baseball Organization.
Following the postseason schedule, the wild-card round on Tuesday and Wednesday will be held at Jamsil, the playoffs Oct. 25–26 at Daegu, and the Korean Series Nov. 2–3 at Suwon. At Jamsil, 50 winners per game day will be selected through an on-site social media verification event, while the Daegu event will run through Samsung Securities' official Instagram channel, where participants can answer a quiz and submit entries via Google Forms.
Winners may collect their "Samsung Securities Pension Gapiphaetdak" package at the Insengsunsal Chicken on-site booth at Exit 6 of Sports Complex Station near Jamsil Baseball Stadium, or at the Norang Tongdak on-site booth inside Daegu Samsung Lions Park.
The "Samsung Securities Pension Gapiphaetdak" package consists of chicken and beverages — staple ballpark fare — giving fans a natural introduction to Samsung Securities' pension products while enjoying the game.
Samsung Securities also released a "Samsung Securities Pension Gapiphaetdak" video on its YouTube channel during the regular season. The animated content features Samsung Securities characters cheering to an upbeat baseball rally song and has received more than 2,000 comments.
"We prepared this event to give fans a special memory at the ballpark as professional baseball's popularity continues to soar," a Samsung Securities official said. "We hope it serves as an opportunity for younger generations to see pensions not as a distant financial product, but as something to take an interest in and start preparing for now."
