Nov. 20-21 at Dongjak College Entrance Support Center; former admissions officers to serve as interviewers
Dongjak-gu in Seoul announced Tuesday that it will hold mock college admission interviews at the Dongjak College Entrance Support Center to help local students prepare for rolling admissions interviews for the 2027 academic year.
Now in its third year, the mock interview program has drawn strong interest from students and parents alike — registration has closed almost immediately after opening each year — and more than 100 students have participated since it launched.
This year's program will again target about 50 local students with upcoming rolling admissions interviews. Former admissions officers from major universities will serve as interviewers, conducting practice sessions and providing one-on-one feedback tailored to each student's target school and intended major.
The mock interviews will run over two days, Nov. 20-21, at the Dongjak College Entrance Support Center. Each session lasts 60 minutes, with one interviewer paired with three students. Participants will answer questions in a setting designed to replicate the pressure of an actual interview and will receive expert consulting on areas for improvement after each session.
Local students and parents wishing to participate may register on a first-come, first-served basis through the Dongjak-gu office website starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Dongjak-gu also holds an annual college entrance information session on regular admissions for local students and parents preparing for university applications.
"This mock interview program will be a great opportunity for students to develop a real feel for interviews through feedback from former admissions officers," Dongjak-gu District Mayor Ryu Sam-young said. "We will continue to offer a wide range of programs to provide the kind of close, reliable college entrance support that students in our district can count on."
