Five sessions planned from November to December, with 20 participants each
Kyongnam Bank will hold five youth-tailored financial education sessions in Ulsan from November through December as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative, with classes to be held at the Ulsan Youth Support Center and other venues.
Kim Kyung-ok, Kyongnam Bank's chief financial consumer protection officer, and Shin Min-sik, Ulsan's vice mayor for economic affairs, signed the Ulsan Youth Financial Education Partnership Agreement at the vice mayor's office in Ulsan City Hall at 3 p.m. Monday.
Under the agreement, Ulsan will be responsible for recruiting youth participants, providing classroom space and conducting satisfaction surveys, while Kyongnam Bank will dispatch professional financial instructors and manage the sessions.
The program, called the Ulsan Youth Financial Education, will take 20 participants per session and cover practical financial knowledge for everyday life — including understanding investment methods, making use of financial products tailored to young people, and learning how to manage credit.
Ulsan plans to survey demand through the Ulsan Youth Support Center this month, then finalize an operational plan and announce how to apply and when sessions will be held.
