Gwangjin-gu will host the "2026 Gwangjin Future Technology Experience Center Expert Lecture" on Nov. 7 at the grand auditorium on the fifth floor of the district office.

The lecture is being organized as part of the center's "Future Technology Exploration Week" to introduce young people to artificial intelligence — a core technology of the Fourth Industrial Revolution — and to help them explore career paths in science and engineering.

The featured speaker is Heo Seong-beom, a popular content creator and broadcaster. Heo will speak on the theme of "The trendiest and most accessible AI career mentoring from a science and engineering sunbae," sharing firsthand experiences and practical advice on careers in future technology fields tailored to a student audience.

The lecture runs 90 minutes, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 7. It is open to 300 elementary, middle and high school students and their parents from the district, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Residents wishing to participate may apply starting Friday through the Gwangjin Future Technology Experience Center website or by scanning the QR code on the event poster. Registration closes Oct. 30, and confirmed participants will be notified individually at 4 p.m. on Oct. 31. For further details, contact the Gwangjin Future Technology Experience Center directly.

"I hope this lecture gives young people a sense of familiarity with AI and future technology, and serves as an opportunity for them to map out their career paths more concretely," Gwangjin-gu District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho said. "I encourage interested students and parents to sign up."
