KGM C&E, a cement maker, held a traditional Korean medicine clinic for residents living near its Donghae factory in Gangwon Province. The event marked the company's 13th year of community medical outreach in the area, conducted in partnership with Dongguk University Ilsan Korean Medicine Hospital.

Since 2011, with the exception of the COVID-19 pandemic period, the company has run volunteer medical programs targeting underserved groups — including low-income residents and the elderly — in the Donghae and Yeongwol areas.

On Sunday, a volunteer team of KGM C&E employees and hospital medical staff set up a temporary clinic at a vocational training center near the Donghae factory. Services offered to local residents included pulse diagnosis, acupuncture, physical therapy, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, and health consultations.

Dongguk University Ilsan Korean Medicine Hospital introduced its "smart Korean medicine care" program at the event for the first time, helping build a health database for local residents and enabling systematic tracking and management of conditions.

KGM C&E is scheduled to relocate its headquarters to Donghae in December. The company said it aims to foster mutual growth and co-prosperity with the local community on the basis of trust.
