LetsRun Park Yeongcheon, operated by the Korea Racing Authority, held a safety and health council meeting Thursday at the park's grandstand to advance its goal of achieving an accident-free workplace.
The safety and health council is a monthly on-site communication body that brings together field supervisors from each department to discuss industrial accident prevention.
The meeting was attended by staff from the Korea Racing Authority's Yeongcheon Operations Office as well as field supervisors from partner companies handling facility management, security, cleaning, and food and beverage operations.
Participants focused on a range of issues: a review of current workplace safety and health management practices, safety measures to address the rise in visitors during autumn events and race days, prevention of cold-weather illnesses among workers and improvements to rest facilities, and a review of safety suggestions submitted by on-site workers along with the actions taken in response.
A Korea Racing Authority official said the council would ensure that even the smallest concerns raised by partner company workers are heard, with the aim of building an accident-free workplace where weekend visitors can also feel safe.
