McDonald's Korea will officially launch the Big Arch, a large burger that has proven popular in overseas markets, on Thursday.
The menu item was initially tested in Portugal, Germany and Canada in 2024 before rolling out across multiple global markets. Driven by customer demand for a large, filling beef burger, it topped sales among large burgers in France following its launch last year. In the United Kingdom and Ireland, strong customer response led to it becoming a permanent menu item this year.
The Korean version of the Big Arch features a 4.5-inch sesame and chia seed bun, two 113-gram pure beef patties, three slices of white cheddar cheese, lettuce, cucumber pickles and raw onion. Crispy onions — making their debut as an ingredient in Korea — are added to give the burger a crunchy texture.
The burger is dressed with a dedicated Signature Big Arch Sauce, developed exclusively for the product, designed to bring the patties, cheese and various toppings together in a cohesive flavor.
