Positions available in operations and fire/emergency rescue
Successful candidates to work at Ulsan's Onsan factory
S-OIL announced Friday it will hold open recruitment for entry-level production staff in 2026.
The hiring drive covers two areas: production facility operations and fire/emergency rescue. Those selected will be assigned primarily to the company's Onsan factory in Ulsan.
The operations track is open to high school graduates, two- and four-year college graduates, and those expected to graduate by February 2027. Applicants with majors or certifications in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical and electronic engineering will receive preference, as will holders of gas, hazardous materials, or energy management licenses.
For the fire and emergency rescue track, a first- or second-class emergency medical technician certificate is required. Applicants with a degree in emergency medical services or prior experience in firefighting or emergency rescue will be given preference.
The selection process consists of a document screening, written exam, AI competency assessment and first-round interview, followed by a second-round interview and physical fitness test. Full eligibility requirements, role-specific criteria and the recruitment schedule are available on the S-OIL careers website.
After joining, new hires will undergo classroom and on-site training before an evaluation determines whether their employment contract will be renewed. A further six months of field work and assessment will then decide whether they are converted to permanent staff.
