Banksalad has developed technology to prevent AI from making erroneous judgments or executing transactions based on inaccurate information during financial processes. The core design requires the AI to re-verify information when performing financial services on behalf of users and to suspend execution of any transaction unfavorable to the customer.

The company said Thursday it had filed three patents related to technology that controls the judgment and execution of financial AI agents.

The technology focuses on reducing errors caused by AI "hallucinations" — instances where the AI generates information that does not reflect reality. Because even minor calculation errors in financial transactions can lead to monetary losses, the company built safeguards across three areas: determining what to execute, verifying numerical figures and controlling execution.

Particularly notable is technology that prevents the AI from carrying out financial transactions unfavorable to customers. Before executing a financial service, the AI agent re-checks the input information and calculation results, suspending execution if a flawed judgment is detected.

Banksalad also developed technology to ensure no information is missing when the AI analyzes financial product details and personalized benefits. The system cross-validates figures calculated using formulas based on financial regulations, including the debt service ratio and loan-to-value ratio.

For preliminary loan screening, the company developed technology that analyzes a customer's credit standing to identify those eligible for loans at lower interest rates. The system improves prediction accuracy by training AI models on actual loan screening outcomes.

Banksalad already operates an AI agent-based service that handles interest rate reduction requests on customers' behalf. The AI detects changes in a customer's creditworthiness — such as income increases or loan repayments — and, with the customer's consent, submits a rate reduction request to the relevant financial institution. According to data the company released in August, the number of customers using the service in July was up more than 125 percent from March, when it launched.

Banksalad is expanding its AI services, which draw on financial, health, product and transaction data to present users with favorable financial options — including reductions in loan interest and insurance premiums and expansion of card benefits. Through this patent filing and further technology development, the company plans to strengthen trust in the judgment and execution processes of its AI agents.

"Banksalad holds it as a core principle that our financial AI agent not only delivers financial benefits to customers, but also verifies and controls errors so that customers can use the service safely," a company official said. "We will continue building a highly reliable financial AI service that customers can use with confidence."
