Turbo, S and base variants to roll out in stages
Turbo peaks at 1,156 hp, hits 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds
Coupe-exclusive lightweight package trims up to 17.6 kg
Porsche Korea announced Thursday the official domestic launch of the Cayenne Coupe Electric.
The model made its Korean debut at the recent "Porsche Vibe Seoul" event. The Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric, the range-topping variant, leads the rollout, followed in sequence by the Cayenne S Coupe Electric and the base Cayenne Coupe Electric.
Starting prices are 148.3 million won ($111,000) for the Cayenne Coupe Electric, 168.6 million won for the Cayenne S Coupe Electric, and 192.4 million won for the Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric.
The vehicle draws on the 911's roofline, pairing elegant body proportions with strong electric performance. From the A-pillar back, the design diverges from the standard SUV, with a gently sloping roofline, a coupe-specific windscreen and an adaptive rear spoiler combining to create a dynamic silhouette.
The drag coefficient stands at 0.23. Porsche's Active Aerodynamic (PAA) system optimizes airflow through variable cooling air flaps and the adaptive rear spoiler.
The body measures 4,985 mm in length and 1,980 mm in width — identical to the SUV model — but sits 24 mm lower at 1,650 mm in height. Cargo capacity ranges from 500 liters to a maximum of 1,313 liters, with an additional 90-liter front luggage compartment. Rear seating can be configured as two individual seats or in a 2+1 arrangement, and practicality is further enhanced by a towing capacity of up to 3.5 tonnes and an available off-road package.
At the top of the range, the Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric delivers a peak output of 1,156 horsepower in overboost, accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 260 km/h. The Cayenne S Coupe Electric and the base Cayenne Coupe Electric produce 666 hp and 442 hp respectively in overboost, with 0-to-100 km/h times of 3.8 and 4.8 seconds and top speeds of 250 km/h and 230 km/h.
Adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and rear-axle steering with up to 5 degrees of steering angle come as standard. The Cayenne S and Turbo Coupe Electric models offer Porsche Active Ride as an option.
Built on 800-volt architecture, the vehicle supports DC fast charging at up to 390 kW, with up to 400 kW possible under certain conditions. The 390 kW figure represents peak output when charging from 10 to 80 percent battery state of charge under optimal conditions. The standard onboard charger supports AC charging at up to 11 kW, with a 22 kW option available.
A coupe-exclusive lightweight sports package is also available as an option. Depending on the model, it can reduce vehicle weight by up to 17.6 kg and includes a lightweight carbon roof, dedicated 22-inch wheels and high-performance tires, on top of Pepita-pattern fabric seat center panels and a Race-Tex headliner.
"Following the Cayenne Electric SUV, we are now able to offer Korean customers an even wider range of choices with the coupe model," said Matthias Buse, chief executive of Porsche Korea. "Building on the strong preference for the Cayenne, we expect the new electric SUV lineup to play a key role in driving Porsche's electrification growth in the Korean market."
Meanwhile, Porsche Korea has been expanding customer choice and brand touchpoints through a range of marketing activities, including the recent domestic introduction of the Cayenne Black Edition, which adds black design elements and additional convenience features to the Cayenne.
