Sangmidang Holdings announced Wednesday that it donated 30,000 coal briquettes to the Haengbok Foundation for energy-vulnerable households, with employees from its affiliates taking part in a briquette delivery volunteer drive.

About 30 employees visited a greenhouse residential complex in Jeonwon Village, Seocho-gu, Seoul, on Tuesday to deliver 2,000 briquettes. Participants included BR Korea CEO Jo Yun-sang, SPC GFS CEO Yun Jin, Secta Nine CEO Han Sun-wook and Samlip Food Business Unit head Kang Yeon-jung.

The 30,000 donated briquettes will be distributed to energy-vulnerable households across Seoul, starting with Jeonwon Village. Samlip Hopang steamed buns were also handed out to local residents from a warmer set up at the site.

Sangmidang Holdings has partnered with the Briquette Bank every year since 2020, bringing its cumulative donations to 150,000 briquettes, including this year's contribution of 30,000. "We will consistently seek out places in the community that need real, practical support and continue our giving," a company official said.
