A photo of a teddy bear posted on SNS by figure skating legend Kim Yuna has sparked fresh pregnancy rumors among some online users — less than a month after her agency denied similar speculation.
Kim posted several photos to her Instagram on Tuesday, captioning one "My eyes are all sparkly~" The images showed her dining at a restaurant in a gray knit top. One photo featured two teddy bears of different sizes placed side by side, with the caption "Cheesy but cute."
Some users left comments such as "Could it be?" under the teddy bear photo, speculating about a possible pregnancy. Others noted a man's shadow visible in the background, suggesting it could be her husband Ko Woo-rim, a member of the group Forestella. Kim's agency did not issue a statement regarding the photos.
The latest rumors come roughly a month after a previous round of speculation. On Sept. 7, Kim attended a beauty brand photo call event at Lotte Department Store's Avenuel in Jamsil, Seoul, wearing a sleeveless black long dress. When photos from the event were released, some users claimed her figure looked different and raised the possibility of a pregnancy.
Her agency denied the rumors the following day, saying, "The pregnancy rumors are not true," and adding that "her body may have appeared different from usual depending on the outfit." Ko's agency also said at the time that it was "not aware of anything."
Kim is one of South Korea's most celebrated figure skaters, having won a gold medal at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics and a silver at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. She married Ko Woo-rim in October 2022. Ko completed his mandatory military service in May last year.
