District's first work plan under the ninth elected term focuses on lifestyle-oriented policies and strengthening social safety nets; district reviews execution strategies for key projects
Dobong-gu in Seoul held a two-day "2027 Key Work Plan Briefing" on Oct. 6 and 7, chaired by District Mayor Kim Dong-wook, to lay the groundwork for the first major work plan of the ninth elected term.
The district finalized its 2027 work plan last month, centering on four priorities: advancing lifestyle-oriented policies, pursuing strategic fiscal management, bringing the Changdong economic engine into full operation, and strengthening protections for vulnerable groups and the social safety net — all aimed at driving the new direction of the ninth elected term.
The briefing provided a comprehensive review of the detailed work plans drawn up by every department in Dobong-gu. The goal was to sharpen execution of the district's governing vision, "Dobong Great Transformation," and to produce tangible changes that residents can feel in their daily lives.
Projects that have generated little impact among residents or require adjustments due to changed circumstances will have their approaches and content reexamined, while projects showing visible results will be pushed forward at pace to improve the overall effectiveness of district administration.
Building on the outcomes of the briefing, the district will refine departmental plans and, following budget deliberations, finalize the "2027 Key Work Plan" in December. The finalized plan will serve as an operational guide for ninth-term projects and will be monitored continuously to ensure it translates into real results.
"The core of the ninth term's 'Dobong Great Transformation' lies in bringing genuine change to residents' lives," District Mayor Kim said. "Now that a systematic foundation for execution has been established through this briefing, we will use our limited resources efficiently to deliver concrete outcomes that residents can actually feel."
