Musical actor Son Jun-ho has offered a glimpse into his enduring marriage with actor Kim So-hyun, 16 years on.

Son appeared Tuesday on the "Famous Couples" segment of KBS 1TV's morning talk show "Achim Madang," alongside fellow musical actors Lee Seok-hun and Enoch, all cast members of the musical "Gwanghwamun Yeonga."

Son recalled how he and Kim first met while performing together in "The Phantom of the Opera." "She showed a lot of affection toward me and gave me a certain look, so I confessed my feelings," he said. "I read that look in her eyes."

A rookie at the time, Son said he was immediately drawn to Kim. "I really liked her too. I had this confidence I couldn't quite explain," he said. "The moment I saw that look, I thought, 'She's mine.'" He added, "Honestly, I was a little nervous being a rookie, but I could feel how strongly she felt, and I thought it would be all right to confess."

Son also revealed that Kim still never lets her guard down around him, even after 16 years of marriage.

"I've never seen her without makeup," he said. "She's still active as an actor, and she says seeing herself too relaxed would shatter a certain image." He added that he initially felt a little hurt by it but has come to appreciate the effort. "Now I just enjoy it," he said.

Son drew laughs when he added that he has never witnessed any of Kim's bodily functions either — but noted she is far more at ease around their son. "It seems like a son is different from a husband," he said.

Son, who is eight years younger than Kim, married her in 2011. The couple has a son named Joo-an.
