A man went on a stabbing rampage at a Homeplus store in Incheon's Namdong-gu on Tuesday, injuring multiple shoppers. Police arrested the suspect at the scene.
According to Yonhap, emergency services received a report of the attack at the Homeplus Guwol branch at around 1:49 p.m. Officers who responded arrested the man, identified only by his surname, and are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
Police believe the suspect injured between six and eight shoppers. The exact number of victims and the extent of their injuries have yet to be confirmed.
The Homeplus Guwol branch is located near Yesulhoegwan Station on Incheon Metro Line 1. The building also houses a movie theater, making it a heavily trafficked area.
