Singer to perform with spouse Noh Sa-yeon at Yongsan Citizens' Day ceremony on Friday
Yongsan-gu in Seoul appointed singer Lee Mu-song as its celebrity promotional ambassador on Monday. The appointment ceremony was held that day at the district mayor's office.
The appointment was arranged to raise awareness of Yongsan-gu's diverse attractions and district news through a familiar public figure, and to strengthen communication with residents.
Lee will kick off his promotional activities at the 33rd Yongsan Citizens' Day ceremony on Friday. He is set to take the stage alongside his spouse, singer Noh Sa-yeon, for a celebratory performance.
Going forward, Lee will participate in major district events and support promotional efforts, help publicize local landmarks and cultural and tourism resources, and take part in producing promotional materials such as videos and newsletters — all aimed at conveying Yongsan's transformation and appeal.
Lee has long lived in Yongsan and built close ties with the community through his music and broadcasting career, earning a warm and familiar reputation with the public. He has also taken part in volunteer and charitable activities across various fields.
The district expects Lee's approachable and warm presence to generate greater interest in and affinity for district affairs. Drawing on his deep connection to the area, he will introduce Yongsan's everyday life and cultural and tourism resources to residents.
At the ceremony, Lee received an appointment certificate and a bouquet of flowers, and a commemorative photo was taken. His spouse, Noh Sa-yeon, also attended to celebrate the appointment and joined District Mayor Kim Kyung-dae for tea.
Yongsan-gu District Mayor Kim Kyung-dae said it was meaningful to have Lee, who has long been connected to Yongsan, join as ambassador. "I hope he will communicate with residents in his warm and friendly way, and help spread the word about the changes and diverse charms of Yongsan — a city of charm opening toward the future," Kim said.
