Jongno-gu held a community briefing titled "Communication Lounge with the District Mayor" on Thursday at the Open Hall on the 10th floor of the district office's main building, marking the 100th day since the launch of the ninth elected-term administration.
The event was designed to inform residents how their feedback had been reflected in district policy over the past 100 days and to discuss priorities for the remainder of the term.
About 100 residents from all 17 dong attended, drawn by a strong interest in local governance. District Mayor Yu Chan-jong reviewed the past three months and explained how he had translated the wide-ranging opinions gathered during visits to all 17 dong into concrete action.
"In the ninth elected term, I will never lose sight of the principle that the answer in governance lies in the field — and I will make sure that change in Jongno is something residents can feel in their daily lives," Yu said.
