Daegu Haany University announced Friday that it recently ran a K-MEDI Mongolian Influencer Council program on campus and across North Gyeongsang Province, combining the university's K-beauty products with regional tourism and cultural content for a global promotional campaign targeting Mongolia.
The program ran from Sept. 9 to Sept. 15 and drew about 20 participants, including representatives from the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences and So Beauty BioTech, as well as domestic and international influencers in the beauty, fashion and lifestyle sectors and university officials.
Participants toured Daegu Haany University's K-beauty education and research facilities — including its AI Skin Lab, Hana Cosmetics center and Department of Hair and Makeup Design — where they experienced related programs and produced short-form videos and social media content featuring the university's cosmetics and products from K-beauty partner companies in North Gyeongsang Province.
The group also visited a range of regional attractions, including Hwangnidan-gil, Cheomseongdae and Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond in Gyeongju, Yeongildae Beach and Homigot in Pohang, and the Blue Road trail and wind power complex in Yeongdeok.
Against the backdrop of each area's natural scenery and cultural character, participants filmed themselves using and introducing the university's and partner companies' cosmetics, weaving K-beauty and North Gyeongsang Province's local content into a single package of global promotional material.
Daegu Haany University President Byeon Chang-hun said the university would "build a global promotional network involving more than 10 countries and create a new promotional model to bring Daegu Haany University's K-beauty and South Korea's outstanding K-beauty content to world markets."
