Gyeongbuk College held an AI and digital transformation forum titled "AI CONNECT: Bridging Universities and Industry through AI·DX" on Thursday at the 148 Art Square youth club room in Yeongju, North Gyeongsang Province. The event was organized by the college's ADEX Center and attended by representatives from local and wider regional industries.
Fourteen industry representatives who had participated in the "2026 Yeongju Job Fair" took part in the forum.
Participants examined the current state of AI adoption among local businesses amid rapid digital transformation, assessed on-the-ground needs, and shared practical ways to support companies through the college's AI education infrastructure.
Discussions covered a broad range of topics, including an introduction to the ADEX Center and its industry support programs, a review of how local businesses are currently using AI and the challenges they face in adopting new technology, and ways to build joint projects and cooperation models between the college and industry.
Lee Hee-eun, director of the ADEX Center at Gyeongbuk College, said she hoped the forum would serve as "a meaningful starting point for universities and local companies to join hands and set concrete milestones for AI and digital transformation cooperation."
