Tour covers Incheon, Uiwang, Mungyeong, Gwangyang, Busan and Ulsan
20-point check includes battery and tire inspection
MAN Truck Bus Korea announced Friday it will hold a free mobile inspection event called "MAN Service Day" at six locations across the country from Oct. 13 to Oct. 22, ahead of the winter season.
MAN Service Day is a customer support program in which MAN Truck technicians travel directly to where vehicles are operating to inspect them, designed for customers who find it difficult to visit a service center due to long driving hours and busy schedules. Inspections are carried out at key locations easy to access while on the road — including ports, truck rest stops and highway service areas — allowing customers to identify potential vehicle issues in advance and maintain stable operations.
More than 1,000 customers participated in the first MAN Service Day held last year, and the event continued earlier this year. The program has established itself as one of MAN Truck's flagship customer service initiatives, raising awareness of the importance of preventive maintenance, promoting a culture of safe driving and supporting the stable operation of customer vehicles.
This second-half MAN Service Day will make stops in the following order: a freight truck parking lot at Incheon's Aam Logistics Complex 2 on Oct. 13; the Uiwang ICD public freight parking lot in Gyeonggi Province on Oct. 14; the Mungyeong rest stop (Yangpyeong-bound) in North Gyeongsang Province on Oct. 15; the Gwangyang Hwanggeum truck rest stop in South Jeolla Province on Oct. 20; the Yongdang truck rest stop in Busan on Oct. 21; and a truck rest stop in Ulsan on Oct. 22. Customers wishing to participate may register in advance or simply visit the venue on the day of the event.
Free inspection and diagnostic services will be provided to all MAN Truck customers on site, regardless of vehicle model. The 20-point inspection covers essential items including a precision diagnostic using MAN's proprietary "MAN-cats" diagnostic tool, tire pressure checks, undercarriage inspection and a battery check in preparation for winter driving. All inspections will be conducted jointly by certified technicians from official service centers and the company's headquarters technical team, with in-depth technical consultations on vehicle condition available as needed.
The new MAN TGX 540 6x2 tractor — featuring a maximum output of 540 horsepower and improved fuel efficiency — will also be on display at the event, giving customers a chance to see MAN Truck's latest product up close. Commemorative gifts will be provided to both advance registrants and walk-in visitors.
Meanwhile, MAN Truck held test-drive events for its MAN 540-horsepower tractor at eight major locations nationwide last month. Customers were able to experience the truck's driving performance, fuel efficiency and advanced safety and convenience features firsthand.
"For commercial vehicle customers, stable vehicle operation is directly tied to business continuity, which means inspecting and managing vehicle condition in advance is just as important as responding after a problem occurs," said Peter Andersson, president of MAN Truck Bus Korea. "We will continue to strengthen our customer-focused service capabilities so that our customers can operate their vehicles more reliably and keep their businesses running."
