Actor Ku Kyo-hwan and film director Lee Ok-seop were legally married in 2022, it has been revealed.

Ku's agency, Namoo Actors, confirmed Thursday in an official statement that the two "have trusted and relied on each other as a couple for a long time, and registered their marriage in 2022 to begin their life together as husband and wife."

The agency added that the two "continue to stand by each other as each other's closest colleague and family," and asked for "warm blessings and support for the road ahead of these two, who have always been a source of strength for one another." It said both Ku and Lee "will continue to work hard to greet audiences with good projects in their respective fields."

Ku and Lee began dating in 2013 and went public with their relationship in 2020.

The couple did not hold a wedding ceremony after registering their marriage and have no plans for one.

Meanwhile, Ku and Lee are alumni of Seoul Institute of the Arts. They first worked together in 2013 on the short film "4th-Year Bogyeong" and have since collaborated on numerous projects, including "Love Documentary," "Fly to the Sky" and "Maggie." They also co-run production company 2X9HD.

Ku has been active in recent projects, including the newly released film "Resurrection Man: The Red," while Lee is currently working on her next film, "Love Counselor," following her direction of "Your Country."
