Singer Yoon Ddan-ddan (35, real name Yoon Jong-hun), who was embroiled in controversy over an extramarital affair and assaulting his wife, has resumed his career with a new album and will meet fans at a live performance.

Yoon announced Tuesday on Instagram that tickets are on sale for a concert near Hongik University in Seoul on Nov. 1, writing, "I'm saying hello with a performance after a long time."

The show will be held at a small venue with 46 seats. "I will prepare well. Thank you," he added.

The concert comes roughly a year and three months after the controversies over his extramarital affair, assault of his wife and divorce first came to light.

Yoon married fellow singer-songwriter Eun Jong in 2019 after five years of dating, and their divorce became public last June.

At the time, Eun Jong wrote on social media that a lawsuit she had filed against her husband's affair partner had concluded in her favor after a year of legal proceedings. She also said physical and psychological harm had occurred during arguments with her husband dating back to their time as a couple, and that repeated infidelity and the violence that followed had left the relationship beyond repair.

In December last year, Yoon acknowledged on social media that he had been unfaithful and had acted violently, writing, "All of this is the price of how I have lived, and I deserve it."

After halting his activities, Yoon announced a new album release on Instagram on Monday, posting the phrase "I am someone who, when shaken, shows the dust."

"I do not know how this album — made from my regret, reflection and sighs — will reach you," he wrote, adding that he intended to "live going forward by carefully clearing away the dust."

Yoon debuted in 2014 as an acoustic singer-songwriter who built a following performing in the Hongdae area of Seoul. His best-known songs include "Gyeouреul Geodneunda" ("Walking Through Winter") and "Niga Bogo Sipeun Bam" ("A Night I Miss You").
