Dunkin', operated by BR Korea, said Wednesday its operating profit rose 53 percent in the third quarter from a year earlier. Sales also grew 10 percent over the same period.
The chain has sustained its earnings momentum through differentiated products, delivery channel expansion and stronger store competitiveness. Led by its flagship store concept Wonders, Dunkin' has moved quickly to capture the latest dessert trends, launching items such as the Dubai-style Chewy Munchkin, Butter Tteok Munchkin, Ube Chewisty and Giant Bucket.
Store renovation efforts are also paying off. Dunkin' has been upgrading locations with tailored renovations that account for each store's trade area and characteristics, improving the customer experience and operational efficiency. Franchised stores that reopened after renovations over the past year posted third-quarter sales 30 percent higher than a year earlier.
The company has also broadened its delivery footprint. Dunkin' has been steadily expanding its delivery network through partnerships with various platforms. This past summer, it intensified its push into the delivery market by rolling out platform-exclusive menu items timed to rising delivery demand. Delivery sales in July were up 50 percent from a year earlier.
"We will continue to strengthen our shared-growth management so that franchisees and the company can grow together sustainably, built on a virtuous cycle in which franchisee growth drives growth for the company as a whole," a BR Korea Dunkin' official said.
